A second skin

A design in the hands of Siu Lie Tan literally grows on the person and is therefore unique. You can describe it as sculpting with fabric. By using the moullage technique, the specific characteristics of the fabric are allowed to speak freely. This results in a daring dialogue between the fabric and the designer, though the person who is modelling also has a strong influence on the final creation. The garment illustrates how Siu Lie sees the person concerned. This is how a portrait in fabric is created. In other words, each design is draped to fit.
